01 Is authentic leadership enough?
Conscious Leadership starts with awareness of our authentic self.

Conscious leaders P.A.U.S.E. to be curious and to take stock of the intended and unintended consequences of their decisions.
Conscious Leaders consider their purpose and impact on individual and organisational performance, culture, society and our planet.
02 Is striving for the utopia of a perfect work-life balance setting us up to feel like a failure day to day?
Think about someone balancing on a tight-rope, trying to walk across. How relaxed do they look? Does it look sustainable for them?
Rather than seeking a seemingly unattainable 'perfect balance' in the future, we need to P.A.U.S.E. to better manage our Return on Energy today; to understand and act on what gives us energy and what takes it away.
03 Are the executives we coach often too resilient?
By their nature, these people are high performers and high achievers. They have had to be resilient to reach executive status.
It is when we P.A.U.S.E. to understand what healthy resilience looks like that we can be the best version of ourself, as a leader and a person.
We develop topics that surface as poignant to leaders across the global business community. Each topic is researched with rigour and supported by current thinking from leadership, psychology and neuroscience.
We showcase our Thought Leadership in a variety of mediums, including Inspiring Keynotes, Experiential Masterclasses, Deep Dive Workshops - each shaped to best suit the needs of you, your team or your culture.
The following are a selection of a few current topics. All can be delivered in person, virtually or in a hybrid setting.
Lead with Purpose &
Inspire Ownership
Understand the critical relationship between values, purpose and ownership to unlock transformational leadership in ourselves and inspire intellectual and emotional commitment from others.
Conscious Curiosity
When we cultivate an expansive growth mindset and learn to lead with coaching we are embracing conscious curiosity.
The Conscious Curiosity Model enables us to balance how and when to use coaching in our leadership. To do this it is important to separate the "be a coach" from the "lead with coaching" so that the critical skills of coaching become a seamless and powerful part of our authentic leadership style.
Trust is the Glue & Grease of Success
Explore trust in a multi-generational workforce and how it is the glue that holds us together and the grease that helps us go faster and further. This topic is of utmost relevance to the graduate in their early stages of navigating a career and to the CEO leading transformation in a volatile and often ambiguous context.
Gravitas and Impact
Explore the research-based capabilities and emotional drivers that underpin gravitas and impact to create your own unique recipe and allow yourself to lead as the best version of you.
It stands the test of time that a critical ingredient for powerful and engaging leadership is the ability to tell a story in an authentic, clear, and consistent way, engaging emotionally and intellectually with the audience.
By inspiring people through the narrative, we provoke them to join or stay on the journey. We sow seeds of trust and loyalty, from which discretionary effort, passion, energy, and critically reciprocated trust grows.
We have spent 30 years honing our craft in order to support leaders to engage with powerful messages through storytelling.
We work with leaders and leadership teams at executive and functional levels, to learn and practice great engagement. We keep it simple so that anyone can do it and it is able to have impact, transcending language and culture.
We have 3 skills and 3 structures.
Since the dawn of time, stories have connected us through the ages. Story Collecting requires conscious curiosity, a growth mindset and lots of listening and open questions to see the possibilities of a story and its relevance to you and others.
Great leaders collect and share their favourite stories that serve them well, reinforcing their purpose and core values.
To Story Shape we can employ different frameworks to guide us. Each framework will anchor you in either the past, present or future.
Story shaping requires a vision of the impact you want to have and empathy for the audience in order to influence.
Storytelling requires authenticity in order to connect with those around you.
Self awareness and acceptance of who you are as a story teller enables you to embrace your style and be confident with it.
The Narrative Story is used to take people on a journey into the FUTURE with a vision of what is possible. We use this structure to share or co-create with others a vision for something that is yet to happen. It is used to engage, inspire and enlist the support of others in a change we are trying to make… big or small.
The Trust Story illustrates something about you as a person, usually from the PAST. It might speak to one of your values, an event or person that shaped who you are today, something that you are proud of, or a time when you faced a set-back and how you responded to it. It is a story that allows you to show vulnerability and authenticity around an important topic – who you are!
The Spotlight Story is used to shed light on something that needs to be addressed in the PRESENT; a barrier to be removed, a problem to solve, an opportunity that can be seized or a success that needs to be amplified. Your audience may not know or care about these events yet and need to hear your story to understand its significance and possibly be nudged into action.
01
P.A.U.S.E. for Healthy Resilience
Stress is unbiased in its attack on generations, gender and culture. P.A.U.S.E. for Healthy Resilience was developed from the multi-generational research of Professor Emily Werner into the 5 truths of what underpins sustainable resilience of a human being. It acknowledges that resilience is not about endurance, nor is it an issue for the individual to grapple with alone.
Working with the latest in leadership, psychology and neuroscience, P.A.U.S.E. unpacks the 5 critical pillars of resilience that empower the individual to support themselves and others. These sessions help people understand and own a personal roadmap for sustainable resilience.
P.A.U.S.E. for situational resilience emphasises a mindful and deliberate attitude towards shifting the rhythm and mindset of the existing situation and creating resilience-oriented clarity, empowerment and action.
A pause is proposed to move from habitual ways of reaction that do not serve the individual/the team/the organisation to “what is the new norm” and “how do I make that work for me/us”. This is a pragmatic application of the P.A.U.S.E. tool to support tactically and in the moment of a VUCA storm.
03 Return on Energy
(R.O.E.)
Teams and individuals can feel stretched and stressed by the pace and volume of everyday life. Companies scramble to respond with ‘empathetic’ and ‘tactical’ solutions whilst shareholders demand leaner structures and continued growth, creating a state of constant transformation. This is not sustainable.
R.O.E offers a pragmatic mindset and model to approach how we live and work in an empowered and resilient way. It is a simple model to help us manage our two most precious resources– time and energy.
Each quadrant has 3 simple approaches to better management of timer and energy.
